Double Wedge Fun Fold Card – No Dies Needed! - Karina Chin, Stampin' Up! Demonstrator

If you love a card that looks impressive but is surprisingly easy to make, you’re going to love this Double Wedge Fun Fold Card!

One of my favourite things about this card design is that you don’t need any dies to create the fun fold. With cardstock, Designer Series Paper, a paper trimmer, and a few basic supplies, you can create a card with lots of dimension and plenty of WOW factor.

In my video tutorial, I’m sharing three different Double Wedge Card designs to show you just how versatile this fold can be.

A Fun Fold That Looks More Complicated Than It Is

The Double Wedge Card has such an interesting shape when it’s opened and displayed. All those angled panels make it look like you spent hours creating it!

But don’t let the finished card fool you.

Once you understand how the cardstock is cut and folded, it’s a very manageable fun fold—even if you’re fairly new to card making.

And because no dies are needed to make the Double Wedge fold, you can recreate it with supplies you probably already have in your craft room.

A Great Way to Use Designer Series Paper

This is also a wonderful card design for showing off your favourite Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper.

The different panels give you lots of opportunities to mix and match coordinating patterns. You can keep your card simple or add stamped images, sentiments, ribbon, embellishments, and other details to make it your own.

I created three different versions for the video so you can see how changing the paper, stamps, and embellishments can give the same Double Wedge fold a completely different look.

Once you learn the basic construction, imagine all the possibilities!
