Alaska Achiever’s January Blog Hop

Thank you for joining us in the Alaska Achiever’s January blog hop. This is the fourth blog hop of the Stampin’Up Calendar year.

I am a Canadian demonstrator from Edmonton Alberta and have created this fun card for you.

One of my favourite product suites in the catalog is the Cake Soiree product suite.  The bundle is a little pricy so I wanted to design a class that would include the Sweet Soiree Embellishment kit and some Silver baker’s twine.  All my friends can afford that and make some super cute cards. This is one of the fancy fold cards from my class.  I think it’s called a double dutch card.

Add in the Cake Soiree stamp set and earn a free sale-a-bration item.
Notice that the inside Powder Pink card stock is embossed with one of the Petal Pair textured embossing folder.

Here’s the measurements.

Basic directions:

  1. Start with a piece of Whisper White 9” x
8-1/2” card stock. With the 8-1/2” side along the top of your Stampin’ Trimmer,
line the left hand edge up at 2-1/8”. Cut down to 7”. Move the scoring
blade score from 7” down to 9”. Turn your cardstock and line the other
side up at 2-1/8”. Start at 2” and cut the card stock.  Score the top part of the card from
using the scoring blade down to 2”.
  2.  Turn your card stock a quarter of a turn
and line up at 2”. Cut down to the first line. Turn your card stock and
repeat on the other side.  You
should have paper that looks like a “T”.
  3. Line
up the card stock at 3-1/2” and score.

Check out all the other fun projects in this hop.
