Nordic Noel Christmas Tree!

Hi Stamping Friends,

It’s supposed to be a stamping my way card challenge today but I’m going to change it up a little.

I wanted to share with you a fun Christmas canvas project I did back in September using Nordic Noel card stock.

It basically uses strips of Designer Series Paper to make the shape of a tree.
For the challenge, make a card with a tree using strips of designer paper and post it to my karinas kreations facebook page! I’ll enter your name for a prize.

I’m excited today to be part of a blog hop.  I was asked to be a part of the hop by Donna Wizniuk.I have known Donna for about 8 years and I’m lucky to be part of a swap Donna is in. I love getting her cards.  There’s always a fun twist or technique that she uses.

I had to answer 4 questions for this swap so here they are:

1. What are you working on?
Right now I’m working on a few things.  I have a birthday card bash extravaganza on Jan 25. You will make 16 birthday cards so I’m designing the cards right now.  I’m trying to design a Valentine’s Day card kids class. My kids classes usually include a stamp set.  I’m also designing swaps for the new catalog and swaps for a creative day getaway I do with two other demos, Donna & Brenda on Feb 7th.We have a few spots left is you’re interested in coming.

2. How does your work differ from others in your genre?
My projects aren’t that different but I always try to teach something when you come to my classes or check out my blog.  I spend a lot of time researching different stamping tricks and techniques so I can share them.  I also invest heavily in my business by attending all the Stampin’Up events and taking online classes. The more I learn the more I can share.  I have been doing this for 10 years and I’m still learning.

3. Why do you create what you do?
I mainly create for classes or private parties.
I get so excited when I come up with a great class or idea!  I truly love stamping with others and love it when friends come over and I get to meet new stamping friends.

4. How does your creative process work?
For inspiration, I like looking at blogs, pinterest and even fabric designs.  My favourite store is Anthropologie.  It makes me happy to walk through that store and see all the different color combinations and fabrics.  I also use a lot of sketches to design my cards.

I hope this gives you more info about me.  If there’s something you would like to see on my blog, you can email me at kchin2@telus.net.

I was asked to nominate 2 other people for the blog hop.  I’m only nominating 1 but she’s so amazing she’s like 2 people.  I’m nominating Cynthia Milan. I was lucky to meet Cynthia at Founders’ Circle last year.  She is so nice and has such a bubbly personality you just want to be around her.  I love her blog too and know you will enjoy it. Check out her blog next Monday Dec 29th!

Happy Stamping,
Karina

P.S I’ll try to post the instructions for this project tomorrow on my blog.
