I used my new Simply Scored Scoring Tool #122334 $38.95 to make this pleated ribbon card. It’s fast, easy and a great way to use some Designer Series Paper.
Step 1 : Buy A Simply Scored Tool! This is my favorite Stampin’Up product next to the BigShot!! It’s better than the competitors because the score lines are every 1/8″. It has a very comfortable scoring stylus with two different sized tips. Plus, it has markers that you can set up to help you quickly score more than one project.
Step 2: Cut a 1-1/2″ x 12 piece of card stock.
Step 3: Lay the paper in the scoring tool. Start at 1″ and score. Then score every 1-1/2″ thereafter. (1″, 2-1/2″, 4″, 5-1/2″, 7″, 8 1/2″, 10″, 11-1/2″).
Step 4: Flip your card stock.
Step 5: Start at 1-1/2″ and score. Score every 1-12/” thereafter. (1-1/2″, 3″, 4-1/2″, 6″, 7- 1/2″, 9″, 10-1/2″)
Step 6: Pleat you card stock starting at the 1″ end. Attach to your card base with adhesive and trim off the excess card stock. You’ll have about 1/4″ extra.
The card stock colors are More Mustard, Soft Suede & Baja Breeze. I used the New Spice Cake Designer Series Paper #124003 $13.50, Spice Cake Designer Fabric #124066 and the Spice Cake Designer Buttons # 124113 $10.50 on my card. I love how all the elements coordinate!!!!
The stamp set is Petite Pairs #122495 $35.95 (W) or #122497 $25.95 (C). It’s a very versatile set with matching greetings for the inside and outside of your card.
Happy Stamping,
Karina
